Aris Velouchiotis' head was originally designed for the cover of a book that was never actually published, a biography of the famous Greek partizan, by his brother Babis Klaras.
On our search for a way to illustrate iconic personalities of modern Greek History, Yannis Karlopoulos and I, decided to work on a study of the layering of colour in the byzantine icons, through a modular grid.
We had already made an experiment with Odysseas Androutsos for another project and were quite satisfied with the result.
Later, Yannis developed a single color stylization for the exhibition "Logotherapy", cutated by Alexandros Psychoulis and Yannis Arvanitis.
